Pitch of beat...dont forget to

the other day i made a nice beat with a piano sample

but like a retard i had the pitch fader up a few nitches on my turntable....well anyways, i ended up make the beat technically "out of tune"

Im about to remake it, but intune. THe only way i notice it is when i listen to something in tune, then listen to the beat....it bugs the SHIT out of me! especially when i have to adjust my bass samples to fit....and also detune my keyboard.

should i care?

or go with its hotness?

IT really shouldnt matter as long as it sounds dope. But instead of redoin the whole shit, why dont you just pitch down your samples a little until they sound like the record?

Yeah - it matters to me, and sometimes i only notice the day after when i listen back - tired ears are not good judges.

why do drummers tune their kits if it doesn't matter?

If the sounds are in tune with each other then it shouldn't really matter. Just listen to it after a song that is in tune and see if it sounds awkward, and if it indeed bugs the shit out of you then do what you gotta do!

nanoloop I've been wondering about that too. If you can tune in increments of 1 in the program/params screen, then why not in step edit?

Maybe just keep both if they sound o.kYou could always use the second as a variation for the hook or intro or somethin'.

never noticed that? I always use 16 levels.....find the tuning that i like.....then go into step.......press the 16levels tuning i like check its "tuning" then exit....hit undo.

THen go into parm and tune the original pad to the tuning.

I always use 16 levels cause that way my tuning is somewhat uniform.

Good idea about tuning it slightly....i just think the bpm might frustrate me!
