on the chopping tutorial How'd you get the drums to sound so grimey?

The sample I used was originally 12bit/22khz.

So did you sample that of off a 1200,MPC60 or an S950 or resample on the MPC?

No, I 'acquired' it in that form - it was on my hard drive - either downloaded off a web site or made it's way off a sample CD, not sure really. I have several thousand drum loops, none of them are labelled properly!
