You should also remember, that velocity doesn't measure how "hard" you hit the pad. It measures how FAST you hit the pad. You could hit the pad softly, but fast, and still get a high velocity.

or go into TRIM moe, select the sound you want, go into PARAMS and turn the sample volume up from there. then when you hit it, the original volume of the sample is higher then it was.

Remember, if you turn up the sample volume, this setting will only save to disk if you save your samples as .snd..........wav's will not remember this setting.

you can also adjust the velocity to volume per pad, that will make it a little better.
