Getting that 12 bit Vintage Sampler Vibe in your MPC

This is you all you "the new gen is too clean" people. It's easier to make a Hifi signal sound Lofi than the other way around.

This 40 min tutorial by Conan AKA The Crates Motel goes deep in on how to use the built-in tools via the Drum FXs & the stock insert FXs. Funny thing is he didn’t even use any of the Flavor FXs to dirty up anything. He did show how to use the Lofi FX to better emulate an SP-1200. But the best thing about this demo was Conan’s wisdom & the mentality needed to get the dirt you want!



Anybody got some tips for making dirt on the new MPCs?

I just sample with 18khz at 40% mix and a mpc 60 emulation as insert record effects at 45rpm. More than enough dirt for me.

I have also been experimenting with inserts while recording.

That dude is doing what I wanted when I first got my One. And I actually download every video he does about MPC's.

Whenever I go to sleep, instead of watching some random shit, I watch his stuff.
