Sequencing,Bars,Timing Questions Really Need Somebody

Wuz up with all this timing.Like does each seq need a diff time 1/4,1/8 etc?
I like simple old school drum loops and I'm confused cuz I'll play a loop but it dont' play back the way I played it.I know this isnt as hard as it may seem but I guess what I'm askin is if the timing must be the same for everything in order for the beat to run smooth.

Tempo....The seq tempo must match the Bpm of the loop. Unless your messing abstract, Jazz or off beat down tempo stuff 4/4 Ts will do fine

Yeah......sounds like you should just use 4/4 for the time signature. Get the sample you want....go to the trim screen.....loop it....trim it so it loops correctly....go to the paramaters inside the trim screen, the bpm will be listed for you.....match the tempo on the sequence screen to it....YOUR GOOD.....

if your asking about the quantize, turn it off or to a higher resolution i.e. 1/16 or 1/32, when you play the drums they won't move around so much..
