Multisample Packs Free

If I were to design some multisample packs for both the mpc2xl, and the mpc4000 to put up on my website for free(website soon to be up)............In WAV format.

What would you guys like to hear?

I was thinking of categories......like Bass, Strings, Synth, or Layers.

Im not sure what i should go for. I mean. I have this idea, let me run it by yous guys.

I wanted to design a multisample called Layers. where it uses 1 or 2 bass sounds, and like 30 differant synth sounds, that all can be layered and interchanged. More of a west coast synth lead bassline set.

I also was thinking of an orchestral set....where i can layer the multisamples....so you can create thicker or thinner programs....or add plucks, or piccato strings.

I also wanted to create an entire pack dedicated to basic waveforms. For synthesis and tweaking in the mpc. (mpc4000)

I also wanted to create a bass multisample and a set of "matching Kicks" Called "kicks luv basses" sort of multisample/drum kit. Basically mixing and eq, so there is no mud, but both the kick and bass sample can hit at the same time.

IDEAS? THOUGHTS? Feedback?

BTW. ill be using the triton, and emu mophatt, for the sound design........Everything will be original and tweaked before its even sampled.

I was already sampling today......im trying to get everything to loop like real multisamples.

Its going pretty easy, but selecting what i sample is the difficult part. I already have a good library of tweaked sounds (my own personal library)

BUt i also want to be able to have some "building blocks" too.

Im gonna try to convert them to the mpc2xl as well. But this might take more time.

Ive already sampled like 20 rom samples from the triton, they are all dry basic waveforms, so they loop like a dream, however they need some tweaking and synthesis inside the mpc to be special.....

im gonna try to copy and emulate some of the lfo, and modulation settings from the triton, onto the same waveforms ont he mpc4k....so i can make some synth sounds.

The 2k already has multi-samples (http://www.mpc-sounds.com). These multi-samples are, for some reason, not meant for any other machine except the 2k. I hope your multi-samples are compatible with my 1k.

yeah, i think its because they are not in "wav" format....but i thought tutor put up some mpc1000 sounds? Check it out. I could be wrong,

but yeah, ive got the bass multisample pack from him for my 2xl, and they are nice. Real nice.

BTW anything i make, wont be a rehash of anything from mpc tutor, or my synths...all from scratch (or not preset that is). So dont worry about me reselling anybody elses samples.

im not tryin to compete with anybody. But you guys motivate me and inspire me to learn my art. Especially tutors multisamples; ive come to realize that the quality of your beats has alot to do with how much you fine tune your sounds, and sound design.

When i bought Breaks and Bass from tutor, my beats literally increased in quality 30% just because i had better sounds. After that i learned to listen and search for better sounds (or not just settling for a preset)

When i got my mpc4k i made a commitment to it, that its my final upgrade with anything, and im gonna learn everything on it, including synthesis........i might even venture into other genres. But i guess my point is...............im commiting to making some free packs, so that i have motivation to really get better....... If I take too long, please somebody REMIND ME!

They work with the 4000 as well. The reason they don't with the 1000 is that it doesn't read all the program params from the 2k/xl.
