an Arpeggiator, breaks down chords and plays the single notes in a pattern. its a common synth feature. So say i play a C chord it will play the c e g notes in a pattern that i can set. They are pretty cool to make diff pads and synth lines.

anyone who uses arpeggiators for hihats needs shooting- me mate once 'programmed' this beat on his rm1x with the arps and it sounded like a bloody stuck cd...

haha yeah i would never even think about that. I just use it when i make pads with my synth.
