aight trying to figure this shiet out

so i got my mpc and i was thinking of linking it up with my comp...ive been using reason and digital performer in this class so I kinda wanted to integrate it somehow with those programs as well as progs like deck and peak....ive got a mac and i was thinking of midiing it up, but from ive been reading its not worth just cause the sequencer in the mpc is so kick ass, but like what about when I want to add and change stuff within the audio that ive transfered? also like if i transfer the midi info over to my comp then i have to have the samples and drum kits in my sequencer on the comp in order to hear it right?

I dont know what the fck im talking about i basically want to integrate my mpc with my g4 in the best possible simplistic way so that i can utilize what ive been learning in my multimedia midi class with my beloved mpc.

help me out with some knowledge...

It depends on what you want to do with your mac
If it's just recording audio track by track, then simply connect the midi out of the mac to the midi in of the mpc, in yout sequencer prepare an audio track and set in the midi config options mpc as slave, mac as master, so when you hit record on the soft, the mpc should start reading your sequences (don't forget to solo the track you want to record).
