MPC 1000 SEQUENCES

JUST WANTED TO KNOW IF u save a seq on mpc 1k through usb say to your pc would you be able to save it to disk then load it to an mpc 2000 3000 or even cd and up load to the 4000 and if so are there any down sides?

if its in midi then yes of course- i assume the mpc1k saves in midi and not some unqiue format- god that would be shit if it did!

I know 1000 midi is readable by a 4000 but the pgm data is not. I had all my programs pretty made from recycle which saves as akp format. I load those into a 4000 and it works great. Other than that i havent figured it out yet. i hope this help.
