Sample Preference

When it comes to sample time what do you prefer?Do you use a 2-3 sec sample and loop/cut it or take a 15 sec sample and chop it up?Or do you use more?

Sampling should be like having sex with your women; you should not restrict yourself to a fixed amount of time but also, it rarely needs to last more then 10 seconds..

true you shouldnt restrict yourself, but since your askin on average..i'd say usually more than 15 secs. even though im lazy when it comes to it, i like to chop them up and do my own thing wit em.

hells yeah. i've never sampled more than 4 bars. not to say i wouldnt but thats pushing it. but i dont think i'd ever do over 8 bars

I'll sample for 20-30 seconds and chop it up usually. Unless I only hear a couple of sounds I want, then I'll sample for 3-5 seconds and trim it.

TYPICALLY I Sample Quite Short.......................

But it Does Depend.................on Source Material and the Project........

Some times Ill Try Mo' than One Spot n Combo Stuff........................
