High-end filtering

Okay, had a portion of a song that I want to use but it has some drums under it that I need to filter out. I was wondering if SoundForge, Wavelab or Cubase had any good filters in them for this task. If so, which one is better. I tried the Equalizer in Recycle, but it didn't really do much. Thanks beforehand.

No doubt a wave-editor will do a better job than Recycle's eq. But filtering out drums is really hard. it all depends on the sound you're trying to isolate. For instance, a bass will be easier than a guitar or something.
Wavelab & Soundforge have some eq plug-ins build in, and there's tons more to be found on the internet. Cubase is a sequencer, and not really that good as a wave-editor.
Try downloading a demo, and a few free plug-ins for EQ-ing.
