How to do a Remix.....

Just curious on the remix process. How do you get your beat to switch up BPM's mid way through a song? For example If I have a beat that I did and I want to remix a song but the vocals tend to swing back and forth from one BPM to the next, how do I get my beat to match the vocals?

you need to cut the vocals in sniplets

or get some audio editing software like acid.

Let's say the first verse is 93.1 and the hook is 96.Doesn't happen alot but once you've used the Tap Tempo to find the bpm disect the vocals to the smallest part you can.Lay down the track,maybe slow it down some if you have to and then lay the vocals.Make sense?

Yes...... I always think you get more interesting results if you chop up the vocal to fit your beats rather than trying to time stretch accurately. For example, the original might be quite loose but you could chop it down to individual syllables & quantize those. Because you've given the vocal a more robotic feel you could then work at it with eq & distortion that wouldn't work with the original flow.

Blend it, Jam master j style. I don't recommend that tho.
