you are either:

1) doing it wrong

2) deaf

3) assigning swing to a pad that has no sample on it, thus swinging nothing.

i bet its because you didnt select which bars to swing...

i always forget that step when i do it. im usin mpc 2000 btw....but after you select which pad to swing, under that is which bars to add swing to. i usually select bars 1-9 (when im working on an 8 bar sequence...)

hope that helps

well, thats assuming your trying to add swing AFTER you've recorded your tracks

in the swing window, change the percentages. after that record your sequence, and you will hear a difference. Try like 65-70% swing and you'll hear it.
