DUMB QUESTION ABOUT MBOX & PRO TOOLS

quick question, digidesign won't answer thsi for me.....my mbox isn't under warranty no more....after recordig a track or multiple tracks, how can i export the whole song to .wav? thanks

lookup mixdown in the protools software help or manual.

Highlight a track to the length of the song (ie 4mins) then use the "Bounce to Disk" option. Select WAV format. Everything that is on like automation, fx, mutes, will be bounced. For example, if you wanted to bounce the drum track, you'd solo that track.

Hopfully my directions aren't that confusing!

There's another way to do single tracks, basically it's an Export function, but I have to look at my PT 'cause I don't remember the terminology. I'll hit you up once I find out, if you haven't figured it out yet...

1. Create a stereo master fader channel.

2. Plug in whatever final processing you feel should be there on the master fader channel.

3. Go to File>Bounce to Disk>Select .wav

4. Choose your preferences and do it.
