about to bring the mpc to a gig..

I have this gig coming up in may And I thought I could
bring the mpc with me to the dj set ..

thought about constructing a beat live infront of an audience

Any one want to share some tips?

Keep a close eye on your gear. And never leave it on it's own.

otherwise name your tracks and seq's so you know what's up.

no disrepcet from my behalf, i have good experiences of throwing
hiphop parties with cameras, decks and instruments lying everywhere
without anyone even noticing them. i just didn't know what's this guys
gig place gonna be, is it even hiphop?

Thats a good thing to keep in mind ..

I thought I could memorize an drum programming so I could reconstruct it in front of an audience ...

just keeping it simple .. .beginning with the hihats for an example.
then switching miditrack and start tapping in the snares,switching midi track and then adding kicks and so on ..

then I go in track mute screen and start muting tracks to make breaks ..

then I could like have other samples in another program so I can switch over to have the same seq but different sounds.

That sounds like a good idea.Don't see why it wouldn't work.

and it was a total disaster. Unless people in Sweden are really wowed by beatmaking, I would only use it to trigger samples and pre-made beats.

i think it would be cool if you have some nice samples and sounds ready, if it was just standard drum sounds making a standard beat then it would be boring. but pull out some crazy birds singing and didgeredoos out of your ass and people will be impressed

I have endless ideas right now just need to come up with some that I can make happen
