Tip for the vynilists

I have this from an interview with Dj Vadim on SOS. I didnt knew this and i spin records for 10 years and I know lots of dj´s who didnt knew this either. Anyhow, you can play back a record backwards with changing pitch with a regular turntable.
What you gotta do is flip your headshell upside down, so the needle points to your ceiling. Then find a spindle from about 4 centimeters in height (I use a spindle from crepe-tape) and place it in de midddle of your platter. Pull your weight of the arm backwards, away from the needle, so the needle starts to lift. Now lay down a record on the spindle. Place your needle gentle underneath the record and prezz play. ha! You can do crazy sh*t with this!

I've seen pictures of his turntable set up like this ....... but I always thought it was just to make a good cover picture, I didn't realise it actually worked.

Yeah that dope stuff, My Boy used to do that back in like '87.
He would play some "Hazy shade of Winter" by the Bangles like that.
I think the 12" has a backwards version or something.
Try Queens "Another one bites the Dust" backwards, sound like the Chorus says "Start to Smoke Marijuana, Marijuana" is ill.
