Burning CD's So every track is at the same volume

My volumes from song to song seem sporadtic how do I normalize the CD to play at the same Volume?

What program are you using to burn your cd's?

I'm not using a computer using a Zoom Mrs802 digital 8 track. I tried using the normalize function on each song but when I burn the CD the levels are still different from song to song

Nero has a normalize feature. Try that, it may work for you.

DON'T use a burning program's normalizing feature to make all yr tracks the same length. it'll make them sound wack as hell. you just need to learn mastering enough that naturally everything ends up in the same area.

try listening to music you like before mastering a track. also, try loading MP3's of songs you like into your DAW before you master, to see how loud their music is on your speakers/headphones vs how loud your shit is.

also, master in the morning, your ears are fresher.

It's Called mastering. What helpful advice. Why do a**holes even post on these boards. If you're not here to learn or contribute then keep your mouth shut. How is that a constructive statement. I know what mastering is obviously but if you don't have money you have to Do it yourself. And if you read my question it's about one small aspect of mastering called NORMALIZING

now anybody reading this would think you didn't know anything about mastering because it seems like you were wondering how this was done....in your question you used the word "normalize" so obviously you know something about bringing your cd down to 0db...the process of doing this would be called "mastering"....

doesn't mean any one is being an a**hole......we didn't tell you to "go fu*k yourself".....that would be a showcase of being an a**hole....maybe if you woulda elaborated on what you meant instead of jumping to the conclusion that we were a**holes you woulda got a more in-depth answer...

but now....I don't know how you stand with people who were trying to help you........
