Please HELP!?!?

When recording a sequence, with the MPC1000, on "track A" why does "track b" sometimes cut out?

It seems to cut out when one track's volume exceeds the second tracks volume. I have tried almost everything, but can't figure it out.

This should be in the 1k forum, but anyway:

I cant quite understand. For all the time I've been using my 1k I've never seen anything called "track A" or "track B"... Do you mean "Track 1" and "Track 2", in the main sequencer?
