Discuss the various methods you use in music production, from compressor settings to equipment type.

When I use my triton studio as the master I cannot use more that one track using the MPC2000XL as the drum machine. Example: Let’s say I have recorded a kick and snare on track 2 of the triton using the MPC. Then I want to record some cymbals on track 3. When I play it back it is like the triton has recorded track 2 information onto track 3 along with the new cymbals I just added. Does anyone know what causes this to happen? Do I need to do something to the MPC for this not to happen?
I am recording all my sequences into the triton via midi. The triton is the master and the mpc is the slave.
Thanks in advance

using the mpc as a slave makes the mpc only able to make 4 timbres/tracks

i am sorry...let me clarify.....when you use it with the triton as master or any keyboard for that matter...the drum 1 drum 2 drum 3 drum 4 settings are to make the MPC a slave!
