I'm sorry, but this just sounds so backwards to me. You want to change your machine, but you're looking for a link that compares the different machines. Apparently you don't already know how these machines compare to each other, which means that aside from the SCSI issue, you don't really have a reason to change your machine. And you're asking for someone to tell you what's "best". Why, so you'll have the satisfaction of knowing you are "equipped with the best machine"? Hate to break it to you, but there is no such thing as 'the best machine'.
I personally prefer the 2000xl out of the 3 you mentioned, but half the time I prefer my SP1200 to my MPC. Other cats will tell you they prefer their 3000, 4000 or 60. Bottom line: what works for you, works for you. And if you can't make a hot beat on a 2000xl, you just can't make a hot beat period. Switching to a different machine just for the hell of it will only slow down your progress.
Stick with the 2000xl. Who cares about the SCSI interface anyway? If you want modern storage do what I did and put a cardreader in your 2000xl.
