yeah I got the same feeling. it sounds more tight and shit!

maybe it has something to do with the freq's fighting to get out of the just 2 outputs?

any 1 can enlight this for us?

Are you using the same cables on both outputs? I used to have a cleaner signal coming from the stereo outputs, but it turned out the cables from my 8-out were just poor quality ( i used a 8-channel snake with cheap connectors).
Other than that I don't really hear any difference now.

I'm using the same 8 output snake to a mixing desk and they are quality studio cables, so it isn't a cable thing. Thanks for pointing that out though.

yes. youll notice the difference one you level out the sequencer. the same way you would with the 8outs.

you guys are right!!!   I take everything back.

i've just tested it, and the sound is very different. When playing a kickdrum you can really hear it.

Is this just with the Mutec board, or are you using the AKAI board?

I feel like were getting somewhere, so you notice a difference! I've totally quit using the 8 output board when recording to PC because of this theory. I record each MPC sound from the stereo outputs.

I think my output board is made by Akai.

Anyone else got any post on this subject ?

Never really noticed it....U sure you guys aint messing with main volume while you do this test

I seem to get a hot signal full stop. 8 outs all day tho. Digital V's Analogue, I can comment on but not the stereo vs outs.

Id personally be surprised if they could match the levels exactly between a beat mixed on the stereo outs and the same mied on the 8 outs- would be hard to get a mirror image you could a/b accuratly
