mixing an album (dj mixing not mix mastering)

does anybody have any advice on how to mix an album?

ie make it flow from 1 track to the next like a mix cd - rather than just being hit after hit (haha)

i use logic mainly and so far cant find a way to do it on that

maybe it could be done using the mp3's?

does your album have a theme?

or are there just tracks that pertain to various different themes of no meaning?

it all depends on what your album is trying to achieve.

most albums just stop and play, some have interludes , snippets etc.

be creative....

I do Mix CD's for my Nephew, and I use "Protools".
I use "Live" to do the actual mix part, most of the stuff he wants is pop so I usually get an MP3 of it.
I lay down to PT, get the parts I want to mix and make a loops of them, then mix the two in "Live", bring back the next song, and repeat.

i need an audio interface and one i have seen (audiophile) comes with a live version

does any 1 know what this version of live is?

Cuz, you can use Traktor DJ as long as you have a DJ Mixer and Soundcard with 2seperate channels. If you need help, Holla At Ya Boy!

use final scratch mix that sht on your turntables live,
i use CEP to do this type of sh!t. just match the beats in the multi tracks
thats what there for . your prgm's have multi tracks use them
can you match a beat.

Personally, I'd use Serato's scratchLIVE instead of Final Scratch, less latency issues.
