for the low end people?

Since I have been making beats, I usually use the low end for the basslines. But my question becuase somehow this slipped past me, but any of you use the same low end on other songs. I know this can be done since sampling is sampleing, but has anyone came across any good low ends that fit a lot of other songs?

You know, filtering the sample so it's just the bass...

Yeah I've used the bassline from one song and then added other samples.

Oh yeah I have done that. I have found one open bass note that I like and picthed it up and down a few notes so that I can play my own basslines. Lately I have been using 808's though.

no, thats not low end theory. do a search for it here and google.

since you took the time to tell him he was wrong you could have at least told him what it was.

basically u sample sumthing and if u like the bass in it u can filter out all the highs and just keep the low parts DUN DUN DUN u got the bassline. just tell the guy man, that sucks.

I searched anyways. If you would've said bass filtering techniques I would've knew what you were talking about.

well it looks like you didn't care to explain it fully either. theres more to it than that. you can take a sample that doesn't even have a "bass line" and turn it into a nice bassy undertone or you could seq a bunch of stuff up, drums, synths, random sounds, whatever then resample the whole seq then filter that. there are many diff way to approach, i wasn't tryin to be rude but i don't care to list all the options. do you? feel free.

Fo real, done it a few times - prefer to find a chunky bass sample and EQ it a bit, then chuck that into a programme{using 16 levels}, still - doesnt sound anywhere as nice as a synth bass...

I usually only use low end when I loop the melody for the beat, then I low end the loop, cut out a few note, and then I got a bassline that perfectly matches my melodies. I hardly ever loop for my main melodies though so I don't get to use it often.
