I have:
My MPC2000XL
Roland V-1680
A black Squire 4 pick-up Electric Guitar with a newly broken e-string
(which inspired a beat last night)
A Technic somethin somethin that I "borrowed" from my Bro
A mic
Two baby maracas, and a jar with screws in it. Makes a good HI-hat...

And I've sold beats. I feel old and outdated.

I dig the minimalist vibe. It doesn't matter how much gear you have, it's about having good ideas. (not saying I have good ideas....but....)
I don't even have a mixing board, except my turntable mixer.

I use the MPC2000XL, a Roland SH-101 analog synth, ProTools Digi001, and that's about it. I have a couple other things, but they mostly chill in the closet.

Maybe if I had deep pockets, I'd buy some more stuff, but maybe not.
Actually, lately I've been itching for a MiniMoog.

I guess I'm a minimalist.
Akai DPS 12.
Akai MPC 1000.
Akai S1000.
Records.

I will be getting a effects processor to and maybe a live bass.

i mean honestly i got mad gear. A korg ms2000 rack mount synth, two hardware rack samplers, mpc 2kxl, akai dps 12, but i still think i do minmalist shit with the software i been rocking for a while. Like reason, and live. Like i really dont go nutz and get all intense with my tracks, but they sounding aight. imo. I keep it simple but have mad gear to experiment with. So i think u can get by with a real low key rig, as long as u have an ear and a knack for making music.

Seen the price tag on a Mini Moog lately?

Next time I have a couple grand sitting around, I'll pick one up.

Right now I could barely afford a Moog T-Shirt.

sometimes I look at my equipment and think - sell everything and buy a house instead. then I think - don't be so ******** stoopid :D

I think I'm a minimalist with lots of gear

Itchy:

You seen any garage sales lately? ;)

You're in the bay area, you could find anything at a garage sale. Just make sure to get something for uncle el if you hit the motherload ;)
