Could I use a mic preamp/compressor to record live bass into my dps 12? Ya know just go Bass guitar into mic preamp then preamp into dps 12.

If the pre has a direct input (DI) or if you put a mic in front of the bass cab and then plug the mic lead into the pre, then the answer is yes.
