I'm actually enjoying Pro Tools

I started to dig into using pro tools for than just recording vocals and etc. I rewired Acid Pro with it, and i'm loving the comnination of the 2 together. I'm way more comfortable in Acid yet i can still do what I want to do in Acid and then track out the loops in grid mode inside of Pro Tools, and mix away from there. Whats even cooler is when I want to eventually get my stuff mastered professioanly for cd. I will already have pro tool sessions ready to go. I tracked out stuff from my mpc into Pro Tools like I would normally into Acid. From there I created the loops in Pt instead, and then Rewired Acid into Pt, and then used Acid to create some other loops, and just recorded it into Pt. This was alot easier than what I expected. So think its lookin like i'll be utilizing Pt alot more with this new found way of working with things. For me it makes alot easier using Acid sid by side with Pt for the simple fact me knowing Acid as well as i do, and at the same i get to learn Pt. I just thought I would post this new found way of doing thing.

I didnt think about rewiring Acid. What version of PT your running?

Pro tools 6.4, Acid Pro 5. Im really loving the combination of the 2. Oh yea and i'm using the mbox

I feel u, i just switch from cubase to pro-tools Mpowred and Im loving the ease of use. I dont see what people are complaining about. Within a couple of hours i was up and running.... and it is nice to be able to send your session pretty much anywhere in the world.

I got a homeboy who mixes for aliving in NY and sent him my session for him to mix on his 5,000 HD system via yousendit. THe session opened without a hitch. He sent it back and it opened on my computer flawlessly(minous some of the plugin's he used) it really does open a new window for collaberation

Thats cool as hell Classic. Especially with your homeboy and his HD system. Plus I notice how the quality of music sounds in Pro Tools compared to Acid. I love Acid especially since it was the first program I started using. When I started to use Pro Tools. Things were really diffrent, and it kind of threw it off. So i just didn't use it that much, but now that I can rewire Acid in there. It allows to learn Pro Tools, and still use Acid at the same, which is really cool.
