useing midi machine control

ok i got cubase sl3 im useing the presonus firepod to run my 8 outs from the akai into the firepod. but what i dont know how to do is make the proper setting in cubase sl3 so when i press play on the akai cubase starts recording. basiclly i want it to follow the mpc2kxl comands.
