How do people put there kicks and snares on separate tracks if you play those pads in the same recording run through, i know i could copy the track and than erase what i don't want in that track, but is there a shortcut, or is that the only way, i tried just playing one pad per track during recording but it just doesn't work for me, i like to play it out in full, any suggestions?

Do u have the outboard fitted...Assign sounds to outs...Or pan stereo outs via internal mixer then assign sound that way for seperation
