Mpc 1000 or Mpc 4000

Right now I have an Mpc 1000, I've heard that if you have a computer then it is better than havin a Mpc 4000. But I'm thinkin about selling it for a 4000. Should I or Shouldn't I buy an Mpc 4000.

actually having a computer and the 4k is really dope, because you can transfer files back and forth straight out of the 4k memory. If you have a sample in memory (ram) you can set it up so that you can send the sample for editing in your favourite editing program then send it right back in memory (ram) when your done. You can also automate a lot of things including the mixer and program parameters right on your computer.

The 4k will give you more functionality with and without a computer.

the 4000 is obviously a far superior machine but costs like 3 times more

how can you compare?

pound for pound? well, how much $$ you got? what you wanna use it for? what you gonna use it with?

personally ive never used the 4000 but im sure its def a good idea to sacrifice if you first got the $$ and second feel your 1000 is limited to your needs
