Pan automation

Hello all it's been a while.

I am asking for some help regarding panning sounds automatically.

I have a snare roll at the end of a sequence which I want to pan left and right before a break, trouble is when I set this up in step edit and listen back it pans left but then plays in both speakers not just left then right. It goes left then both. I am sampling in stereo too any ideas what the problem might be?

I find that the mix change automation does wierd things sometimes too.
I use 2000xl and I've had that problem.
In step edit, try putting the panning message before the sound you want to pan not on the same tick, this might work.
If you are already doing this, the alternative is to use another pad and pan one left one right and sequence them in.

Yeah it is weird.

Thats a great tip though I will just pan one left and right.
