No luck finding an answer to this particular question, peace to lampdog for his help suggestion
The story goes ...
I used CubaseSX midi tracks to trigger my 2000xl.
If you really curious I create bulk of the midi in the MPC and import that sequence into Cubase just to give it song structure and certain details, all the while triggering the MPC sounds.
This was working fine for past project when all my samples existed in 'Drum 1'.
My predicament now is I have samples in all four banks and the midi is still only triggering from one bank. i.e. if 'Track 1' is set to 'Drum 1' - the horn sound assigned to pad 'A10 Drum 3' is playing whatever incorrect sound is on 'A10 Drum 1'.
I imagine any of the rack mounted Akai samplers might run into this issue.
I also think it might deal with the 'change program' midi messages sent from Cubase.
