HOW DO YOU GET THEM SNARES TO DO WHAT MANNIE FRESH be doing like in the new jeezy song and if you could explain it the easiest way, does it be the note variation?step edit?what does it be and they also be sounding like the volume on the snare goes in and out. it would greatly be appreciated if you could explain this to me because im down south and they love snare and claps going all over the place

its called mixing and mastering. eq and compression. You need to learn about mixing and invest in a small recording rig like a mixer (first) then hardware multitrack or multitracking software such as cubase or sonar or protools. Making shit sound crisp and punchy is all about eqing at some point. Some mpcs like the 1000 have these as effects, but running through a mixer makes a world of difference. These cats your referencing have multimillion dollar studios with pro engineers manning the boards so its real hard to achieve there results on your own with little or no experience.

i do that all the time u got it right, note variations just put the mpc on 16 levels change parameters to variation and of course when doing it use the note repeat button an u good
(when u do use the variations go thru a couple of the pads and feel which variation goes good with the beat)

also.... what I like to do is use the snare first and lay that down with the mpc set at 16 and then I turn the metronome off and go over top of the snare with 2 or 3 diffrient claps with the 16 leve velocity or turn of the full level button... I think it makes it a little more human... or you can use the swing function

Damn, there is alot you could do i guess!
