Submitting tracks for placement...???

When submitting tracks to artists/labels etc., should the tracks be dry (no fx) or a representation with fx (simulated final mix).

I assume the idea is to give them a product that is as good as you can do with the gear that you have at your disposal. Whatever sounds best to your ears. Unless they expect you to come to them with a done master they try and look beyond the limitations of your work, like "how would this producer sound with him" or "if this gets mixed properly it will sound like this".

Just do what sounds best to you and go ahead.
