skipping thru the samples in program mode, any short cuts?

Nice to have 512 of ram, but when i ve got thousands of samples in ram memory and i want to select samples for creating a nice kit, its way to much time consuming to skip thru the enormous sample list. Are there any short cuts on this one, for instance to skip thru the list by alphabat of the sample name or something????

try holding down shift + block cursor down or up

Aslo use a logical method when naming your sounds: lika all drumsounds kick snare hatz will start wih the name Kit so it would be like
kit 909BD
kit 808 SNR
kit lofi CHH
ect..
and it goes for other sounds aswell, like all bass sounds start with Bass so Bass Minimoog,
Bass MS20
ect
all new / edited sounds will have a * n front of them, so it makes them easy to find..

You do know you can audition samples directly from the hard disk, don't you? Not necessary to load programs at all....

hey drumtrack, i think i wasnt clear enough about my problem.
THe hold down shift cursor function only works in the sample page when skipping pages.
I want a way to select samples in the program edit page where you can assign samples to the pads to make drum kits. Also here you can select samples so you can hear them running in the sequence, so it would be nice to speed up the selection proces.

agree, but there is a workaround, sample the whole pattern (from your mixers main outs (bus) or if its all MPC re-sample the internal main outs, assign it to a pad, so when your auditioning samples from HD you can simuntaniusly trigger the whole pattern as a one shot sample from the pad

so there is no way, to scroll more efficiently in the program page?????

any comments will greatly improve my workflow
