Basically, I made a beat on my MPC 4000. I want to do some further work on this beat using a sampler/sequencer program like Cubase, Logic, etc. I want to be able to
Is there any way that I can take the sequences, samples, programs, and multis that I saved onto a disk and simply import them into a sampler/sequencer progam on my PC?
If this is not the best way, then what is the best way to do this? Syncing the timing of Cubase with the MPC and then recording the individual tracks off of the MPC into Cubase? Or syncing the timing up and then recording the MIDI data from the MPC into Cubase, and then loading the samples from the MPC into a sampler in Cubase so that the MIDI data from the MPC can trigger the samples in Cubase, thus reproducing the sequence from the MPC but in Cubase?
The last option makes the most sense to me, but it seems unnecessarily time consuming.
Also, sound quality is an issue... which method will produce the best sound quality? Is it better to record audio from the MPC, or will it sound better if I just use MIDI to trigger the sample in Cubase?
Any help is appreciated, thanks
