Good thread starter. I haven't finished running the rest of your patterns through my head, but if I come up with anything that you haven't posted, then I'll post again.

each dash represents a tick. (-) We will use the "|" to separate bars.

If you were looking @ |x-xx|--x-|


it would be:

01.01.01 = Kick
01.02.01 = Nothing
01.03.01 = Kick
01.04.01 = Kick
02.01.01 = Nothing
02.02.01 = Nothing
02.03.01 = Kick
02.04.01 = Nothing

Use step recording to map them out .
