1. Find a Quality sample. You are looking for a pretty empty break with some kind of ryhthm to it or listen for DOPE CHORDS to chop.
Now this is the part were people usually get lost.
2. Find the tempo of the loop you recorded. This doesn't have to be exact, just close.
You have you base to work with now.
3. Don't try to force a sample into a set tempo!!!! Set your songs tempo to the sample if able. Do this after you have found the right PITCH you want the loop to be.
4. Now if it is still off beat after you adjusted the pitch to match your other sample or whatever........now, TIME STRECH it to match the tempo.
Some eqing will be needed but not much.
Now you loop is set and ready to go, to do whatever your mind has in store for it. I would tell ya'll my process and routine but I can't give my secrets away now can I.......haha!
