Anyone got any synth patch recipes?

Are there any synth experts that want to share some knowledge on programming patches on virtual analogues?

How to program great bass, electric piano, cello, pads, deep tr-808-like kicks!, snare drum, cheesy organs, ethnic flute, horns, clavinet, brass ...basically anything you would sample and chop

I have been reading Sound-On-Sound SynthSecrets articles , but that shit is so theoretical and i still ain't got a clue

I'm using yamaha an1x.

808 (type) drum.

Cuttoff down, res up a bit, no release, bit of decay

Snare drum.

White noise, bit of another wave, small decay.

As for recreating instruments....just experiment.

(I've never used an yamaha an1x)
