Are there any synth experts that want to share some knowledge on programming patches on virtual analogues?

How to program great bass, electric piano, cello, pads, deep tr-808-like kicks!, snare drum, cheesy organs, ethnic flute, horns, clavinet, brass ...basically anything you would sample and chop :D

I have been reading Sound-On-Sound SynthSecrets articles , but that shit is so theoretical and i still ain't got a clue

I'm using yamaha an1x.

808 (type) drum.

Cuttoff down, res up a bit, no release, bit of decay

Snare drum.

White noise, bit of another wave, small decay.

As for recreating instruments....just experiment.

(I've never used an yamaha an1x)
