need help with acapella staying on beat

hey wassup guys,

I've run into a little problem. Ok, you see I'm remixing this song that is at 109 bpm. The song doesn't have any beats under it (no kicks) so I'm just using the song like it is, I don't have the acapella.

So this is what i did. I time stretched the song to 123 bpm, chopped up different parts of it and assigned the sounds into my Akai MPC2000xl.

Now here is where my problem comes in. I have the song chopped up, certain phrases are 14 to 24 bars long, and when i record, the song doesn't stay on beat, the words drift because I guess i haven't cropped the sample correctly.

Is there any software that will correct this. It would be easy if it was just the acapella, but there are other sounds over the acapella and that's where the problem comes into play.

If you have any ideas how I could make the sound stay on beat at 123 bpm please tell me. If there is any software that will help please tell me also.

ever heard of beat detective that comes in Pro Tools? i dont know if it is extra or if it even comes in the LE version, but i use it at work on the tdm version of PT. look for that, it is a champion beat fixer.

I already have it timestretched, i need help cropping it correctly. Normally i am good at looping samples but this is like a 24 bar verse so it's hard to get to stay on beat, feel me?

if u have CEP 2, you can do it like ACID pro would, set it up as a loop and you can select sections and it well tell you the tempo of each section. If you chop it by the bar, you can follow the tempo changes spot on.

You might have to chop it up even more so you can play it and where there is silence on the beat, throw in another sample or keep it as a break to catch up to the songs tempo. Then play back the original sample so it will stay on time. Use Sound Forge or Recycle, ya dig?

ok i have it beatmapped with acid but then how do i delete the parts of sample i dont need.
