Ok bare with me I have did a search but still not completely sure of the process.


#1. Lets say I load up drums samples in the mpc is it gone to
DRUM 1,2,3, or Drum 4. If I understand correct I can load 16 samples per bank A-D for each of the 4 Drum Folders.

Drum 1 = pad 1-16 Bank A-D totals 64 samples
Drum 2 = pad 1-16 Bank A-D totals 64 samples
Drum 3 = pad 1-16 Bank A-D totals 64 samples
Drum 4 = pad 1-16 Bank A-D totals 64 samples

Total 256 samples

#2. If I load a sample up and then load another second sample to the same pad and select replace does the old sound get erase from ram and pad or just from the pad

#3. (Shift 6 and then select DRUM 1) under the ASSIGN there is a PAD ASSIGN option for MASTER or PROGRAM ... I have turned the option from Master to program and no difference... Explain this option.

#4. How do you reassign the note pad number on the MPC

example Bank A pad 1-16

35 36 37 38
39 40 41 42
43 44 45 46
47 48 49 50

go to program and hit a pad then scroll to select the sample you want there.

repeat with each pad.

Ok i assigned a snare to pad1 DRUM 1
Then i assigned a kick to pad 1 Drum 2
Now when i go to pad 1 in drum 1 mode its a kick and not the snare, what am I doing wrong

assign all pads in drum 1, they should really have called this Bank 1, 2 etc.

Drum 1 2 3 & 4 are each a bank of 16 pad settings.

Ok now correct me if i'm wrong Bank a-d are the 16 pad banks and Drum 1 has a Bank a-d, Drum 2 has a Bank A- d, so on and so one.

Now in the main screen under the track name there is a S or M mode for for Single or Multiple...Correct

Next to it is the Drum 1-4 mode...ok... should I be able to load up 16 sound on Drum 1 bank A and a different 16 sound on Drum 2 bank... with out have to go to Bank b from Drum 1

ok, I'm wrong, drum 1-4 are banks of 4 banks each. just fill one first.

yup, I don't sub to ot now, just AH. I imagine it is about the same as you remember it. I like it still, people are posting a lot more sound files though.
probably due to greater connection bandwidths.
