Sound Forge Layering to db

I know there is an easy way...

When I combine to drum layers together, I have no control over the db of the finished drum. How do I control this so that all of my drum sounds have a consistent db?

Um on sound forge 7 (thats what I have), when I want to combine two drums or whatever I copy and mix (copy one drum, open another drum, and hit the mix button), mix gives control over the DB on the copy drum, and the original drum...

If you want a consistency, just remember a number that you want, say -6 DB and just make all your drums -6 DB using volume after you make um, thats an example...
