any tips or info?
I've been digging into the whole step edit function and i think i've mastered it to the point where i can just program drum patterns in my head pretty easily now(thank god for auto step increment). I just finished up a few tracks and I wanted to know if the same mastering/tracking methods ussed for hip hop could be applied here. My specialty up till 6 months ago was hip hop beats but I have been leaning more towards ambient and iDM for ideas and techniques to add to my arsenal but resources beyond the albums were fairly scarce to say the least. I only got 6 tracks done so far. My style leans more towards Rubberroom, Antipop with a dash of Pete Rock.
