slicing question.

Happy new year to all,

I have a question about slicing samples.

When I take a sample and zone it to 8 zones, how do I create a program with it?

When you press edit: slice sample it comes up with the option; do you want to create a new program. In the past I have said yes and it creates a new program on bank A where all my other sounds are and messes my beat up by replacing the existing sounds.

The question is how do I select bank B, C or D as the destination of my new program?

I hope that makes some sense.

You can't choose. A program is 64 pads.
Therefore the program you choose to make overwrites
64 pads. Whatever you had on drum 1 will have to be
replaced with the new program.

You'll have to manually go in and set your previous program back to drum 1 AND record a different track(s) w/ the other program at drum 2 3 or 4.

I think I understand now, if I change the drum then I can start a new program. Leaving drum1 unchanged.

Yo could trye to have a differend bank selected while assigin the samples
Just an Idea. Haven't tryed it yet but mabey it works

Doesn't work.

Anytime you create a new program it will overwrite program 1.
You'll have to MANUALLY go in and reset program 1 to your old program and MANUALLY set the new created program to a different number.

I actually haven't noticed that yet either. Thnx for telling otherwise I could making some big **** ups.

you need to asisign the new program in the param field to drum2 and have all your other sounds on drum1 or vise versa

you do this in the param ,drum field press the open window when in drum 1 and assign them to where you want.
