Ok i need soome short cut advice, I'm still new to the mpc and just tried to do a full track using the mpc only my ?'s are:

1. How do you filter all the bass out of a sound and normalize it.

2. I tried to edit a bass loop down to one note and loop it to creat my own bass sound, I even gave it a new name but it still was the old bass loop not the new bass sound. How do you create a new sound by edition the old one?

3. Is there an event editor that lets you edit each step that has already been played on a track? example: i play the snare on a track by itself and the last snare is off beat can I just adjust the time of the last snare without redoing the whole track over.

4. How do you edit the volume of a sound to make LOUDER?

5. If i save ALL PROGRAMS AND SOUNDS (aps) and ALL SONGS AND SEQUENCE. will it save the sequence also?

you dont normalize, you record it as hot as you can when you sample it, to filter the sound you can use the fliter in the program parameter screen (the screen you use to set up sounds on pads) or you can use the multi efx filter.

you go to the trim screen and edit it then save it as a new sound, when you save the file it will save the new sound. you will also need to assign the new sound to a pad, use the same screen as the ? above to assign the newly edited and named sound to a pad.

again, back to the program edit screen or use the mixer to do it. shift mixer to access it.

I wont even answer the last ? the answer is IN THE QUESTION.

1. unfortunately you cant edit the bass out in the mpc, the filter is only a low pass

2. make sure you switched the note in the program to the new one. what i mean is to assign that new note to the old pad.

3. it is the step edit function in the main sequence window

4. you can try to raise the velocity of the track in the main sequence window, or you could go to the mix screen and turn down all the other notes.
