This was posted up in the forums some time last year. i dont remeber who posted it but It was so sick I had to bring it back and reintroduce it again. Its a dope sequencing trick. Start out with one sequence and copy it 5 times and apply these settings. Once u do that sit back and listen. do it with drums first till u get the feel for it. Once u incorporate a sample u may need to do some fine tuning in step edit.

Sequence 1 : 3 bars, 4/4 Time sig
Sequence 2 : 1 bar, 2/16 Time sig
Sequence 3 : 2 bars, 3/16 Time sig
Sequence 4 : 1 bar, 2/16 Time sig
Sequence 5 : 2 bars, 3/16 Time sig

I"m guessing that 1st sequence is 4 bars? :?

I've done something like this but a lot more basic to do an intro once or twice. It did kind of like a stutter effect at the beginning of the beat.

I also used it to do variations when I was lazy and didn't feel like programming variations. hahaha.

Yeah its like a stutter type breakdown, I love that shyt. The main pass is 4 bars then u make 5 copies of that part. Maybe I should edit the post. When u want the beat to break is when u add these settings to the 5 copied parts

yea, I've been doing this with drums for awhile, before that post even...another good "stutter" trick is to take your 4/4 bar, cut it to 3/4, then extend it back to 4/4....adds more of a pause....

That is  .

Thanks Jacpot. I tried doing one with a little vocal sample a minute ago and it worked. But its a little choppy. Need to go back and understand what was going on with the time sigs and such. Thats not my strong point. not very good with time signatures!

Thanks for that trick though. Really sounded nice.
