Here's the technique. After posting it I thought most folks wouldn't find it usefull. but if you're into dnb, neurofunk, or anything remotely techy.. this is a great way to get those squirmy/vocal basslines:

1. find a harmonically rich sample, reese sounds, synth basses/leads work well. Detuned saw waves especially.

2. Assign a lowpass & highpass filter to the pad the sample is on.

3. turn the resonance about a quarter of the way up on both filters.

4. assign the filter-frequency to the q-sliders. sweep them through the midrange frequencies in opposing directions. ( also adding a subtle phaser can help create more of a squirmy effect. )

5. go fetch a clean pair of boxers.















for the record, I couldn't give a flying flip about my post count on a messageboard :wink:
