MPC and midi druming?

How is it to do the drums by midi, but seqvensing them om the mp?

depends on how far down the midi daisy chain your source is. letency grows more according to the number of midi sources you have connected at onece. like say from your mpc, you have a fantom rack > motif > planet earth > mophat and a triton rack and now you want to midi drums using the triton. the latency might be a little off (not that much) but off just a bit. but now you want to midi drums from the fantom, the response is much quicker because it's the first one on the chain.

but if you only have one device connected, there's nothing to worry about with latency. if you are doing drums (or any other instrument) from the computer, like say with reason, or any stand alone VSTs, you have to make sure your ASIO driver is configured properly.

I used to play a Roland SPD11 drumpad [with a kick pedal trigger attached] and it was plugged MIDI out into my Korg X5's MIDI thru port then into my Soundcard's MIDI in...and I actually drummed live along to sample sequences no worries, no latency at all using a basic M Audio 24/96 card...but yeah If I had of gone thru another MIDI thru port shit would a got loose for sure...
