should I buy the MPC2000XL or should I get something else?

Can any one answer my question?pls.
I'm thinking of buying the MPC2000XL but what's keeping me from buying it is I was reading about this hardware in www.mpc2000xl.com and I found out that "once you create sounds on your MPC, you can't use it as a sampler". also I read that "the MPC does not do dynamic time streching" IS THIS POSSIBLE!!?

The MPC is a percusion style sampler, so some features of full fledged samplers are not included. Is there a big difference, would you think that will effect me.

Maybe it is right for you, or maybe it isn't! For us to help, please tell us what it is you are looking for - i.e. what do you need your machine to do, and then we'll tell you whether the MPC is right for you

But the thing is that I was gonna buy the MPC so that I will have a sampler and sequencer, and what I read in www.mpc2000xl is that I wouldn't be able to use it as a sampler, once I will have worked some songs on it.
Is it true?????

No, it will still sample with a song inside it - as long as there's enough memory left.

I bought my MPC for the same reason - I wanted a sampler and sequencer in one. Just bear in mind that the sampler in an MPC is quite limited compared to a 'proper' sampler. It can timestretch, reverse, loop (basic looping), and a couple of other things but that's about it. If you want a sampler to do lots of amazing things, you'd be better off with something like an Emu Ultra, an Akai Z series or even an MPC4000.

In that case that's ok, cause I wont leave the MPC packed with samples. I will burn them on a cd or saved them on a zip. that should be help?
