Space in Between...

Whats up fam......Here is the deal, When I track my beats out
in protools I always put a empty 2bar at the beginning before the
song starts to make sure everything locks up tight....The thing is
when I go to bounce my songs to disk in protools and burn them to
a cd using nero It has to much space in between each song.......Are there
other means of recording my music to cd without having to bounce to
disk in protools and controlling the space in between the songs.....Or
is there a program that will allow me to eleminate some of that space...
and also lets me control the volume of the whole song, so one song
won't be louder than the others...

when you set the bounce you should be able to set it off at start point, say 2 4 4 1 in your instance, to lose the gap.

i hear you though, there are loads of cheap mastering software packages out there which deal with track spacing and volume issues between tracks

i'm looking to purchase too so anyone with owt give up a review!!

Well I figured out how to eleminate the space....Before you bounce
to disk you select the part of the song you want to bounce with the
selector tool in protools....... As far as software I think im going
with WaveLab.......

Adobe Audition is pretty good at this. Version 2 is out now and they made a lot of improvements (support for AISO, Mastering Plugins, etc.). You can edit your .wav files with Audition and what not. The Waves bundle with load up in Audition as well as other plugins that use Direct X.
