Multitrack Recording

Hello All,

I Am thionking of giving up recording to my computer. I was wondering if any of you guys have any experience with the alesis hd24. or other similar devices.

Roland CDX-1.. Its ok, probably bad purchase, but it served its purpose. I am going to upgrade RAM and you can PM me if you want more info. They are a lot cheaper NOW then when I bought mine. I hear that the RAM upgrade makes it more efficient, if it does I am satisfied for now.

Akai makes a very nice set of HD recorders: DPS12, DPS16, DPS24

DPS12 and 16 are both out of production and can be easily found used for about $400 and $900 respectively.
DPS24 runs nearly $3000 new.

All have that signature Akai ease of use.
